How It Works

So how does the Brezza instantly make a warm formula bottle? Well watch the video below:

The Nuts...

Many parents agonise over heating baby bottles to the right temperature. Preparing bottles at night when your baby is having a nuclear meltdown is even more difficult – measuring the correct amount of formula (and getting the whole scoop through the bottle rim), pouring the water in and screwing the lid on just right tend to be rather difficult while also carrying and soothing your little one.

An obvious solution would be to pre-mix the formula and keeping it at the needed temperature in a bottle warmer right? Unfortunately, as you’ll soon be made aware, the mixed formula needs to be refrigerated if not used within 15-20 minutes after it has been prepped. Bottle warmers also hold maybe one or two bottles at most at a time – not enough to last the night with babies feeding every 2-3 hours initially.

The Baby Brezza Formula Pro Advanced takes the hassle out of formula prep by getting a bottle ready and warm in about 8 seconds. The bottle comes out with the formula mixed properly and the exact temperature you want it to be.

Parents are able to choose between 9 different volume sizes of formula to suit their baby’s needs, with sizes increasing incrementally by 30ml/1 ounce covering volumes of 60-300ml/2-10 ounces (yes it allows you to choose whether you want to measure volume by millilitres or ounces).

Additionally, there are 3 temperatures to choose from – room temperature, body temperature, and warmer than body temperature.

...and Bolts

Controls are all digital with an easy to use user interface. During set-up the unit allows you to select a numbered setting that corresponds to the specific formula type you’re using. You can check here to ensure that it will work with your formula and which setting you should be using.

The water tank is dishwasher safe and the unit allows you to dispense water without formula (which assists in keeping the machine clean) and will provide a beeping sound and flashing light to let you know it’s time to clean it.

While the water tank is dishwasher safe, other parts need to be washed with soap and warm water. For daily cleaning, however, only the funnel needs to be washed. Monthly cleaning requires washing of the funnel, formula storage container, and water tank.

The Brezza also offers specific warnings related to the powder lid being open, low water, and the funnel being out of place. To assuage safety concerns, the formula storage compartment is also airtight.

The tray is able to adjust to accommodate smaller or larger bottles, allowing you to adjust bottle sizes as your little one grows and starts eating more.

One niggling aspect of the unit design is that the water tank is not generally visible being placed at the back of the unit. While a beep does warn you that the water level is getting low, being able to have a direct line of sight of it would have been helpful.

The Verdict

While expensive, this product is well worth the price tag for those who opt to formula feed given the significant ease it provides to the task of bottle preparation. The fact that it is compatible with most formulas makes it very viable for long term use (and perhaps for successive kids) with its sturdy and sleek design making it an appliance well worth having.
